What is a coqui?

The coqui is a small frog native to the island of Puerto Rico. Its name is derived from it's sweet song (coqui, coqui) which serves as a soundtrack for nights in Puerto Rico, especially in the countryside. There's no sound in the whole world that makes me feel more at home! In the past, you could only find coquis in Puerto Rico, but recently a group of adventurous little frogs decided to relocate to the islands of Hawaii. Even though these coquis are clearly living the American Dream, the locals hate them to the point were many hotels will proudly boast signs that say "Coqui-free hotel". But no matter what, our coqui remains happy and sings its little lungs out every night. This is why the coqui is my Spirit Animal. You just gotta keep singing because life is a moveable feast.
